The Pies have a fair bit going for them this week. They get a bunch of experienced players back into a team that has been winning anyway, now only missing Mitchell and Elliot from their best 22. In their last 12 games they hold an 11-1 record against the Suns and are famously a great travelling side. 

The Suns on the other hand had a nightmare trip back from Perth getting back home at 3am on Monday after their bus from Brisbane was late. People are cock-a-hoop about their home record but the quality of opposition this season has been low and the Pies took care of them easily in this fixture last season by 78 points.

Clugg got a tagged last week but the risk of that this week is very low as classically the Dees go to Neale. Clugg’s form this season at the Gabba has been great and the Dees defensive pressure has fallen off a cliff without Tracc, Brayshaw and Oliver running through treacle.

It's no secret that Berry should go to him tonight. The Dees don't have a lot of threats left in the midfield and Berry has gone to someone every week for the last few months to great effect. Clarry has looked at shell of his former self and the matchup stats to opposition midfielders at the Gabba isn't pretty reading.

This is a simple matchup play. With some elite pressure in the last month the Kangaroos have made themselves the toughest matchup in the league to the halfback position. They play a back 17th in time spent in the forward half giving opposition defenders less opportunity to get the ball.

The matchup to opposition fielders at the Gold Coast has been a difficult one all season. It's not going to be any easier for a guy like to go away after such a long time out. With Pendlebury also back he might spend a little bit more time forward as well. Will be a tough line to clear.

As stated above this is a difficult match up for midfielders away in the twilight slot at Carrara. With a bunch of pies midfielders back there is less opportunity for Chris to get his hands on the ball and this line is far too high.

A great bounce back spot for Florent. He's had a few tough match ups over the last few weeks but runs into the doctors here who go allow +12% to the half back position when playing away.
